A Swedish home in greys, white and black

In Sweden it's hard to get short of interior inspiration when you have estate agents that take such care over their home styling and photography. This Stockholm apartment is on the market through Fantastic Frank. They've cleverely bled the images to even out the colour scheme and brought the apartment to life by laying the table in the kitchen, and adding items such as the coffee cups on the coffee table and the shoes in the hall.

I love the grey tones and the original features such as the Kakelugn in the sitting room (love the horse cushion in the chair next to it too!). What about you?

In my home there are always many, many, many 'signs of life'.....:) one day I'll have a permanently tidy home, really I will. What about you?!

A laid back Brooklyn apartment

Hello, how are you all today? I recently came across this great loft in Brooklyn, New York photographed by Brian W. Ferry. I love the owner's laid back style, the combination of black glossy floor with the matt white brick wall and the way they have displayed pictures through out the loft.

For sale here. Tempted?!

On Monday we saw a bike as a feature in the hallway but this home has taken it a step further with a motorbike. Do or don't?!

I also noticed everyone loved the map wallpaper in the kitchen yesterday both here and on Facebook, so I'm looking into where you can buy it - unless anyone knows?

PS Thanks for all your feedback, encouragement and tips on painting my stairs white yesterday. I am raring to get going now!

A white Stockholm space

Hello! I hope you all had a great weekend! Monday morning's are tough and it takes me ages to crank into action! To ease the pain here's a lovely white home in Stockholm for some Monday morning inspiration. It's been doing the blog rounds here and here but I thought I'd show a few other images for a different take on this lovely apartment. I absolutely love the shelving in the sitting room and the way they have displayed objects, in fact the use of wall space in general really stands out through out the home. And turning your spare room into a make-shift walk in wardrobe? Never wrong!

I wish I could have just one fairly bike in the hallway like they have, but right now we have a bike, a tricycle, a pram and two scooters. Not exactly the cool look I was after!! Someone once told me that making the entrance hall clear of clutter is the most important as it's the first impression a visitor gets of your home. Have you achieved this with your hallway?
